I do not touch a cards market until the referee is confirmed, and UEFA's match page has Paweł Raczkowski of Poland in the middle. His record is the whole bet. Transfermarkt has him at 169 yellow cards, three second yellows and three straight reds in 34 matches last season, 4.97 yellows a game, with 126 of those yellows coming in 24 Ekstraklasa games. This season he has eight matches, 32 yellows, one second yellow and two reds: 4.0 a game. In his two UEFA qualifiers in July and August he showed five (Pafos v Hajduk) and six (Gent v Hibernian). Eight games is my minimum sample and last season backs it up.
The teams do their bit. Sofascore has Bournemouth on 12.3 fouls and 3.3 yellow cards a game in the Premier League this season, the highest booking rate of any side I looked at this week. Real Sociedad are on 12.5 fouls, 2.2 yellows and one red in six La Liga matches. Transfermarkt's suspensions and injuries pages list Álvaro Odriozola (cruciate ligament, expected back late November) for Real Sociedad and Junior Kroupi (foot) for Bournemouth. Neither club has a suspension listed.
