Portugal vs Denmark Prediction and Tips: Corners
Nadia Ferreira checks the corner counts behind Portugal and Denmark's Group A4 meeting in Braga.
The prediction is at the end of the analysis ↓Portugal's corner count in an open Group A4 fixture
Portugal lead Group A4 with a perfect record and have been the standout attacking side of the four, playing with genuine width — wingers and overlapping full-backs who get crosses in and win corners off blocked balls. Across their last four games they have won 25 corners themselves (6.25 a game) and conceded 17 more, for a match total between 9 and 12 corners in three of those four games.
Denmark have not been as corner-heavy in their own right (17 won in four games) but their matches have been open at both ends: they've conceded 18 corners in the same four-game spell. The two sides met once already this campaign, Portugal winning 4-2 in Denmark on 1 October, a match that itself produced 11 corners.
Put together, six of the eight individual match totals we looked at from these two teams' recent games landed at 9 or above. We're backing over 9.5 total corners at 1.71, for 0.75 units.

Team news
We have no confirmed team news for either side this far from kick-off. Portugal's 4-2 win in the first meeting on 1 October came with their first-choice attack on the pitch; we're assuming similar selection here in the absence of any injury news.
With both sides well into their Group A4 campaign and little separating the table positions from here, there's some chance either side manages the game rather than pushing for corners if it settles into a comfortable scoreline early.
Verdict
Over 9.5 corners at 1.71 implies a 58.5% chance. That lines up reasonably with the data: six of the eight individual match corner totals we checked across these two teams' recent games were 9 or higher, with Portugal's own corner-winning rate (6.25 a game) doing most of the work. 0.75 units, a touch below our usual stake given the data is a count of recent matches rather than a settled statistical edge.
